MOUNT ST. MICHAEL ACADEMY
PARENTS’ ASSOCIATION
Mount St. Michael Academy Parents’ Association builds a strong relationship with the students, parents, faculty and staff in the Marist tradition. We provide care and dedication in the pursuit of that which is beneficial to our Mount Family. The Parents’ Association of Mount St. Michael Academy assists in services such as fund raising, various functions, the coordination of meetings, and bringing valuable information that will assist both parents and students in their educational endeavors. We are a family working together for the common good of our sons. We also sponsor many social events throughout the year. A “Calendar of Events” can be found on our website.
All parents/guardians of students enrolled at Mount St. Michael Academy and Junior High School are automatic members of the Parents’ Association. There are no additional fees or dues for membership. We invite and look forward to continuing to build a solid and coherent association through our joint efforts.
GENERAL INFORMATION
These are busy times in all of our lives, but you can play a role in the Mount community just by joining our organization. Three decades of research have shown that:
  • Parental participation improves student’s learning
  • Family involvement in education is too important to ignore if we really want to create a stronger, safer and more enriching future for our children
  • Students perform better and work to a much greater effort when parents/guardians are involved in their education and in supporting the school by volunteering at school programs and events
Times have changed and in most cases, both parents have to work to continue to provide for their children. Somehow we manage to juggle work, home, family, sports, music lessons, tutoring, voluntering our time and efforts to such worthy events throughout the year in order to benefit our sons, their education and the Mount Family. We get involved in our son’s education because we love them and know that soon they will be on their own. We want to take this opportunity to create warm and wonderful memories with them.
We invite you to join us by becoming a member of the Mount Parents’ Association and volunteering to help with our scheduled events, participating in them, or both. Any volunteer time is greatly appreciated. Our activities offer a great way to become involved in the school and to meet other students, families, faculty and administration. You will come away with a feeling of satisfaction and pride that you have made a contribution to the Mount Family.
