Sports Awards Dinner

The Sports Awards Dinner was held on Wednesday, May 20 in the gym. This annual dinner is meant to recognize the scholarly and athletic leadership of Mount's seniors. This year, Coach Valentini gave an introductory speech and the other coaches followed by speaking about their respective teams. Then, the athletes from the Class of 2009 received awards.

John Kelly's Splash

Senior, John Kelly, has had a piece published in Teen Ink magazine called "Puddles". In it, he chronicles a bad day during his sophmore year and how it helped him grow. It's not the usual growth experince we would hear about from the Mount, but that's what makes it worth the read.

Mother-Son Dance

Students from Mount brought their mothers to the 11th Mother and Son Dance in on January 28th. The decorations and the theme were based on disco. Many students came in interesting outfits and other embellishments. This was possible because of Myra Nolan, Addie Scipioni, and Brother John.

Yankees Baseball

Trip to Mexico...Cancelled

This year the Mount had plans for an eight-day trip to Mexico starting on April 6 th. Unfortunately, this trip will not happen due to the violent drug wars occurring in Mexico right now.

Movie @ Mount

Do you know what took place at Mount St. Michael on Columbus Day? From an interview with our school president, Dr. Miserandino, Tower reporters discovered that cameras invaded the locker room to film a movie about a girl's basketball team.

Fishing in NYC

Fishing is a sport where you are able to share a bond with a father, son, brother, or a group friends. It’s a relaxing pastime that can be used as a way to get out to nature or clear your head.
