   Travel to the Mount

Mount St. Michael is located in the Wakefield section of the north Bronx near the border with Westchester County.

New York City residents who qualify receive free or reduced-fare MetroCards for travel to and from school on public transportation


By Subway:

Number 2 train to Nereid Avenue and transfer to the Bx-16 bus toward Eastchester.  Ride about 14 blocks and get off the bus at Murdock Avenue, right next to school.

OR

Number 5 train to Eastchester-Dyre Avenue and transfer to the Bx-16 bus toward Norwood.  Get off the bus at Murdock Avenue and Nereid Avenue, right next to the school.

OR

D train to 205th Street.  Transfer to the Bx-16 bus toward Eastchester.  Get off the bus at Murdock Avenue and Nereid Avenue, right next to the school.


By Bus:

      The #16 bus stops at the Mount during school hours.

By Mount St. Michael Private Bus:

     

The Mount provides optional private school bus service at a cost for 2010-2011 of $1,200 per year.  The bus routes are adjusted each year to accommodate those who register for bus service.


      By Car:

1-95 North (New England Thruway) to a left-hand exit at Baychester Avenue.  Follow Baychester Avenue about 2 miles to Pitman Avenue.  Make a right on Pitman Avenue and go three blocks to Murdock Avenue.  Make a left on Murdock to the school.

OR

Hutchinson River Parkway South to Sandford Avenue.  Make a left at the end of the exit ramp and follow Sandford Avenue for about 2 miles to Murdock Avenue.  Make a right on Murdock to the school.
